Avant Technologies to Establish Micro Data Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Meet Rising AI Infrastructure Demand
Avant Technologies is embarking on the development of a micro data center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, aiming to cater to the surging demand for AI infrastructure. This facility will serve as a resource for private companies seeking to power AI training via cloud-based solutions. Anticipated to be operational in the first half of 2025, the center underscores Avant’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the tech industry.
Timothy Lantz, CEO of Avant, emphasized the escalating need for new data center capacity, driven by both on-premises and colocation segments within the private cloud sector. Avant’s strategic choice of Milwaukee as the site for this endeavor stems from the city’s emergence as a burgeoning hub for tech investments.
Milwaukee’s allure is further underscored by significant tech players’ investments in the region. Microsoft’s construction of a data center in Mount Pleasant, Racine County, just 30 miles south of Milwaukee, represents a substantial commitment, while Google’s expansion in nearby Madison highlights the region’s tech-friendly environment.
In line with its expansion plans, Avant aims to establish a supercomputing network to address the escalating demand from enterprises seeking AI deployment solutions. Complementing its infrastructure offerings, Avant has developed Avant! AI, an AI system tailored to enhance enterprise workflows by analyzing business data. Equipped with the capability to field user queries regarding their data, Avant! AI stands as a testament to Avant’s dedication to innovation and client-centric solutions.
